
The Alabama men's basketball team, will remain on the road but will stay within the state line battleing in-state rival Auburn at 1p.m. today at Beard-eaves Coliseum. Both teams come into this match up coming off losses. Bama fell to MSU 83-74, and the tiges lost to Florida 68-65 in a close one on the plains.
Alonzo Gee remains the tide's leading scorer, Gee finished with 15 pts. against MSU giving him 14.5 ppg. Gee only needs 13 pts. to make him the 17th all-time scorer in crimson tide history, he has 1,382 pts in his career. Senior Guard, Brandon Hollinger will start for injured guard, Ronald Steele (heel), who missed the MSU game last wed.
The Tide (11-5)-(1-1) is looking to snap a two game losing road streak while the tigers, (10-6)-(0-2) are looking for there first conference win. This is the 139th meeting between the Tide and Tigers, Bama leading the rivalry 84-54. The Tide will return home Wednesday January 21, to take on the Ole miss rebels.
